I used agave syrup in the brown rice peanut butter dessert and no one could eat it way too sweet!! I am still trying to find the brown rice syrup, whwen I do is that not as sweet as the blue agave?
Brown rice syrup is not as sweet as agave. The brown rice syrup is really mild and is one of the least sweet syrups I've had.
Can you use brown rice syrup in coffee or tea?
The Light Agave isn't as sweet either but Rice syrup is better than both.
I've never tried brown rice syrup in coffee or tea, but I think you could do it. The flavor of BRS is so mild that it's mostly just sweetness. So you'd probably be fine. The flavor reminds me of a very, very mild honey, but less sweet.
Thanks. I have never tried agave. Would that be better in tea/coffee?
Agave dissolves in hot or cold liquids and it's easily pourable...I think it makes a great substitution for tea! I always use agave in my tea and the lattes I make for myself. It's wonderful. As for coffee, I bet it would be great too although I don't drink coffee so I can't tell you for sure. I think agave tastes great in anything that calls for sugar; it's very versatile.
I get the lundberg brand on www.iherb.com . they have some of the best prices around on things that they carry. I love brown rice syrup. It is definitely less sweet than Agave to me.
Thanks! I cannot wait to try the agave. I'll have to go out and buy some. I hear it's tasty if you add a little vanilla and agave to plane, unsweetend almond milk. I know Whole Foods and Trader Joe's sells it.
I made the brown rice peanut butter dessert today as well. The brown rice syrup is perfect. They are yummy!
