Just wondering where my fellow minnesotans have luck finding vegetarian/vegan foods? Cub Foods has such little selection, as does Target. Where do you shop for most of your foods? Thanks for the help =)

Hi Sarah! I'm currently in Duluth, and while there isn't a huge selection, there are many who demand whole foods, which is how we got our Co-op. (Not affiliated with the Whole Foods chain). Cub Foods and Super One have reasonalbe selections for vegans, and while it isn't super easy (or cheap) for "up north" it isn't bad. Visit the co-op if your ever in Duluth!!

Hello! Sarah, where are you? I live in Minneapolis and there are quite a few options out there for vegan/vegetarian foods. As far as grocery stores, Whole Foods is the mecca of vegan options (Two locations, one in Uptown by Lake Calhoun and a smaller one on Grand Ave in St. Paul) There are also a good number of Natural Foods stores or "Co-ops" in the Twin Cities area as well as a few outside the metro. Here is a link to a website where you can find one in your area. http://www.cooperativegrocer.coop/coops/ Besides Whole Foods and my local Co-op I also shop at the Minneapolis farmers market and occasionally Kowalski's grocery stores who also have a nice selection. Hope this helps!

The Twin Cities has the best choices, but for me, Burnsville is closer so I go to Valley Natural Foods once a week.

Thank you so much everyone! Is the Valley Natural Foods in Burnsville a good spot?? That one is less than 5 miles from me. Do they have soy cheese there? I really want to try that out =)

Yes they do. They carry the Follow Your Heart line as well as a couple others. The store was a little confusing to me at first (it is obviously smaller than the typical supermarket) but the staff is super friendly and always willing to help. I would also recommend their smoothies and other drinks and desserts!
