I am planning on making the Tostadas (Kinda) tonight. I just read over the recipe and am confused. I have never made tostadas before, so do you just pile everything on the tortillas? Also, how do you prepare the tortillas? Any insight on this recipe would be great! Thanks!

Heya Heather - yep, you just pile it on there, tostadas are the ones that are open-face. Hmmmm...I don't have the book with me now, I'm at work...just off the top of my head, you could either bake the tortillas for a few minutes to crisp them up...or you could lightly coat a skillet in a little oil and "fry" them a little on each side.

Does that help?

I think that is the "kinda" part... she uses whole wheat tortillas just warmed (not toasted) and roll up the ingrediants inside; or fold it in half more like a "taco." Sounds yummy, let us know how it is...

Thank you both for your help! They really were more like tacos, but they turned out great! Everybody liked them :)
