I bought tempah from Trader Joe's for the first time this weekend and baked it in the oven for about 10 minutes and put it on a tosted bun with some hummas and spinach leaves. It was pretty good. Does anyone have any other suggestions for how to eat this? I still have two servings left and would like to try something different. Thanks!

I was wondering about this too. I've never made tempeh and I got confused.
I bought some Organic Three Grain Tempeh by LightLife and I was wondering how or if I had to cook it. On the back of the package it says to cut into 1/4" thick slices and heat in a well oiled skillet with 2 tbsp of soy sauce. Here it is:http://www.lightlife.com/product_detail.jsp?p=tempeh_threegrain
I was thinking this was precooked but I guess not?
Amy, would you recommend marinating this kind of tempeh too?
Thanks everyone for any help!

Thanks for your suggestions Amy! I will definitely give them a try.

Hi Mary, the package I bought said pre-cooked on the outside and that you could eat as is or heat up. I don't think I could have eaten it cold, though...

Thanks for all the info Amy! I'm going to try marinading it tonight and see how it goes. :)

Whaaaat??!! *excited*...hey, links, puh-lease - LOL!

Tempeh...not overcooking my greens (or in the case of kale, how to not UNDERcook it!)...etc. I'd love to become one with cooking this stuff.

Hey Karen! Just go to You Tube's homepage and plug in macrobiotic cooking into the search. Tons of options come up!
