Besides The Kind Life: Veganomicon, Vegan cupcakes take over the world, Vegan with a Vengeance. A lovely website is: http://www.therawfoodcoach.com/karens_kitchen.phpThe woman, Karen Knowler, is a raw foodist, but many of her recipes are simple and glorious! I love the Kale and avocado salad! You can also look up her name on youtube and there will be some great recipes as well. Hope these help!

My favorite blog is blog.fatfreevegan.com, tons of good recipes!!

I have lots of cookbooks and Veganomicon and Vegan with a Vengeance are the top 2 I'd recommend.

Also if you want to learn more details about Macrobiotics, I'd recommend the Hip Chicks Guide to Macrobiotics. I just read it and it helped a lot although many of the recipes from that book are in Alicia's book so it might not give you too many new recipes but it does give you some but it really isn't a cookbook.

Vegan Planet by Robin Robertson is my all-time favorite! Every recipe in it is amazing, and they range from quick and easy to fancy-pants. Veganomicon by Isa Chandra Moscowitz, or really anything by her, is really good too.

I bought The Joy of Vegan Baking by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau and am excited to get started on more than one recipe. Does any one know what I should substitute the sugar with? Does the maple sugar substitute sugar 1:1?

Don't let the title scare you. The 30 Day Diabetic Miracle Cookbook. ( Totally Vegan) Recipes are easy, and delicious. Over 200 recipes."Stop diabetes with an easy to follow plant based carb counting diet." I picked up this cookbook for a friend that has diabetes, and looked thru the book. I bought a copy for myself, although I'm not diabetic. The recipes are incredible. A class they offered in my area, used this book to help with heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and being overweight. Here are a few examples pg 134 Crabby Cakes and no-Mayo Tartar Sauce (use a bit of nori in the cakes to make them taste crabby, Kickin Western chili pg 143, Lo fat mayo pg 223,Savory dinner roast pg 157. What I love about this is the nutritional information listed. My favorites are the crabby cakes and the chili.
