So, I have searched all health food stores in my general area trying to find this veggie, and I have not had any luck! I live in a small town so the variety is limited. However, today I swung by Walmart to pick up some basic cheap things, and went through the produce section only to find Daikon! I was SO excited I almost started dancing.I know it's not a big deal, but Alicia mentions it a lot so I wanted to try it. That was just a little story for anyone who wants to read!Alex

I found it at a local flea market and bought like 9 lbs of it! (going to freeze the rest)

i just bought some yesterday from my local grocery store... i can't wait to try it. I always wondered what it was when I saw it before, didn't realize the health benefits it can produce.

I too live in an insanely small town. I am going to a big city this week to check Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. I did find all the Japanese ingredients at Eden Foods http://www.edenfoods.com/ I have never ordered from them but if I can't find the ingredients out of town, I am going to try ordering from them.

Sarah Taylor-Foltz, I'm curious if it freezes well. I just buy a small amount to use for about a week but the grocery store that carries it is quite far for me so I only get there once a month or so.

I order from Eden Foods a lot and love their service and quality. I have been typing in the OCA code and getting a little discount since I read The Organic Consumer Association's website.

I'll let you know who it freezes. I figure that it's worth a try, because my local grocer doesn't carry it, and I rarely eat it raw.

Um, how it freezes, I mean.
