I am looking for some cheap and easy recipies that I can make before work. I also would like to buy the ingredients at any grocery store. Any suggestions?

I love Kashi cereal or Ezekiel cereal with soy milk. Also I buy the steel cut oats at publix and add water and heat it in the microwave for a few minutes and stir in some soy milk and banaanas. Yummy!! I haven't given up the microwave yet. Also, Ezekiel bread which u can find at the grocery store with a little nut butter or earth balance spread and some plums are good. Theres so many good cereals out there that are whole grain and full of fiber. Barley is another fav of mine for breakfast. make a bunch and u can portion it out for days.

Jessica, I have made this over 4 days and both my hubby and I have thought it was great. Super healthy! http://www.foodbuzz.com/blogs/1562050-cherry-almond-oatmeal-bake

This is my favorite breakfast:

Whole-grain puffed kamut cereal. There's only one ingredient and it's organic! I add some almond milk and I'm good to go. They also make other whole-grain cereals too that are similar.

Kristie, that's what I used to make Alicia's rice crispie treats! I couldn't find brown rice puffs so I used those instead with almond butter and brown rice syrup. It was awesome!

Ya know...and I was wondering if you could have fun with that recipe with a different grain... so cool! I'm always spinnin' off on what I see or hear... :)

-Whole wheat toast/bagel with peanut butter or hummus

-Microwaved oatmeal with Mixed Berries (1/2 cup quick cooking oats and a little more than enough water to cover them - cook in microwave for about 1 & 1/2 minutes then add berries)

-Cereal w/ Soy, Almond or Rice Milk topped with fruit and or nuts

-Smoothies: Peanut Butter & Banana, Apple/Banana/Kiwi, Berry, Berry/Banana, etc. (blend any type of fruit in a blender with a bit of 'milk' or water)

And some mornings, I'll just eat a piece of fruit (or two)

Some people find vegetables for breakfast provides a constant level of energy and makes them feel great, like steamed green beans or spinach. Experiment eating non-breakfast foods for breakfast. Some traditional cultures eat a big dinner-like breakfast and a small breakfast-like dinner.
