Have you guys tried Alicia's suggestion - mash up avocado on toast, then top with sauerkraut and paprika? It is sooo good.

I eat oatmeal most mornings (probably 29/30 days a month). I use rolled oats AND oat bran, boiled in water on the stove. Then add blueberries (fresh or frozen), cinnamon, brown rice syrup, a little maple syrup, and flax sprinkles. Very tasty and filling. If not that, my other favorite breakfast food are waffles. I buy Flax waffles, and add chopped nuts and/or blueberries (or other berries) on top, with maple syrup.

I love to eat overnight oats! You prepare everything the night before and then when you wake up in the morning you pull your oats out of the fridge and you are ready to go. I have a lot of recipes if anyone is interested in them. They are super easy and yummy!!

as a sweet-breakfast person I usually have either oats with fruit, some nuts or seeds and soy yoghurt or a pancake with soy yoghurt, nuts, a tiny bit of agave nectar and fruit.

for my pancake I use:

50g rye wholemeal, 1tsp baking powder, a splash of cinnamon, a bit of unsweetend cacao powder and some water, I sometimes put the chopped nuts into the dough

this really sounds like a tiny portion but it fills me up for hours and in combination with fruit and soy yoghurt it's a pretty balanced healthy meal - and I LOVE it :)

the pancake itself is not sweet so it's probably not for everyone..

Buy fruit that's in season and freeze it - I always bulk by berries and then keep them frozen.
Stay away from processed meals and eat lots of lentils/grains/pulses.
Buy maple syrup and brown rice syrup in bulk
Once you buy all the staples it works out cheaper to be honest.
