Well, today was the World Championship IRONMAN 70.3 here in Clearwater, FL. My boyfriend and I live on the beach and watch it every year. We both live an active, "healtier-than-most" lifestyle for 34 year olds. I enjoy running and he is a Triathlete.
I have read about The Kind Diet in several of our magazines and was exctied to order it. I received it via UPS on Friday - and sat down this afternoon after watching (and being inspired by) the 70.3 World Championship, and read then entire book.
I am feel that the truth in the pages of the book are what I have been looking for. The understanding of food and the dynamics of how the body uses that food/fuel to operate at an optimum level.
While we have already cut dairy from our diets about a year ago, we occasionally eat meat, love veggies and truley have a desire to eat well and live well. However, we always felt that there was something more that we could be doing... After reading the book, we are excited about making the next changes in our diet!
We are very excited to make our first week of meals together. We have chosen a few recipies to start with.
