Hello my fellow "kind diet" friends. I have been a fan of Alicia's acting since I saw her on Clueless when I was a young girl. Now I am a fan of her work as a vegan activist. She is one of my vegan inspirations -along with Natalie Portman and a few others.
I first became a vegetarian 2 1/2 years ago at the age of 15. After 2 years of sucessfully abstaining from meat, I decided I wanted to convert to veganism. My friends and family though I was CRAZY and they did not think I would last. -And to be honest, I didn't. I spent most of my summer traveling, which made my new diet difficult. However, as soon as I read about "The Kind Diet" on www.ecostiletto.com I new this was the book for me. Since then I have completely cut out ALL dairy and animal products. Now I don't just eat a vegan lifestyle, I live a vegan lifestyle.
I am also in the process of trying to convert my meat and dairy loving family (We are from Minnesota) to a "kinder" lifestyle by cooking three meals a week.
So thank you Alicia (and all of your companions) for publishing a book filled with delicious, healthy, and most importantly simple recipes that have turned me into a culinary goddess .....well almost. :)
