Hey everyone, I'm Jennifer from Nova Scotia Canada. I haven't started the book yet but I just ordered it so I should be getting it tomorrow, I can't wait to get it...by the sounds of it and by the looks of the website I feel like it's really going to be an enlightening and supportive journey. I've never been vegan before or vegetarian so this is going to be very new for me...the reason I'm starting is because my boyfriend and I just watched a movie called 'Food inc' and there were so many hearbreaking images and process that I've never really thought about or understood before. He's been vegetarian for a few months and slowly working towards being vegan so he is very understanding of the process and it will be easier to find new things to eat when I have someone who's willing to experiment with food as well.
I am slightly worried because i'm a super picky eater and all I really ate before was chicken and I tend to never eat green vegetables or really any vgetables like I should. I've invested in some vitamins and am slowly starting the journey and cut out all meat and slowly removing dairy aspects from my diet as well. I've never really eaten alot of dairy but it's surprising how many animal byproducts are in food. Hopefully once I get the book and read more recipes online I can find some stuff I like. One step at a time! Looking forward to getting to know you all!

hi, jennifer and welcome glad you loved the movie. is such a wake up call how the food you are eating makes you sick. when I first started the transition I thought to my self what do I eat now? there is so much variety that it is much easier than you think. I hated vegetables too at first I started with only vegetables I liked and then eventualy after your body detoxifies and it will your true taste buds will awaken now i eat raw collards. I never thought I would be eating such a greeny leafy vegetable. Its delicious and I love It. This new journey will connect you to your true inner being. whatever you do stick to it. your body wil tell you what it needs.

Jennifer, so happy to meet you. Hope you are loving the book :) Just dropped in to let you know, I went vegan 1 1/2 ago in one chapter of one book and never looked back. The hardest part was getting used to eating different thing because I was just like you. Super picky. I never ate my greens either and it was always chicken and either rice or potatoes for dinner.

Just keep trying things. Even if youdon't like them try cooking them different ways until you like them. I used to HATE Brussels Sprouts. Now I love them and the are my favorite veg. Staunch raisin hater here. Love Alicias Sicialian collards even with the raisins. So anyway don't give up, this picky eater has turn into someone that will try anything because you don't know what you will fall in love with.
