I'm sooo cold now that I've lost some weight. I desperately want to get a pair of Uggs, but I'm also wanting to be a good girl and find something vegan that will work. Any suggestions???? I'm looking for a Eskimo look - maybe something that laces up on the side.
Thanks!

Hi Katy! Have you tried Neuaura? Also, Amazon has a selection of Ugg like boots. I've been debating whether or not buying a pair would support the fashion trend that is cuasing animals to suffer. I read that it takes 8 sheep to make one pair of uggs. I don't know how much truth there is to that, but even one is a huge price. Anyway...definitely go vegan =)

My Ugg shoes are the only piece of clothing that I own that is not Vegan. I am torn now wether or not to get rid of them. I bought them prior to my change over and they are super comfy. Part of me says that the sheep required sheering to get out matting, but i know i need to sell these or get rid of them to really step into my role as a Vegan. does anyone think i'm terrible for still wearing these? What should I do? The damage is done, I've bought them, they are not returnable. HELP!!!!!!

Alternative outfitters has vegan Ugg style boots:

As does Mooshoes:

Alternative Outfitters and Mooshoes both are entirely vegan shops, so they are my go to websites for shoe shopping.

Michele Caples - In order to make boots, the sheep aren't shorn, they're skinned. I too still have some leather goods from before I went vegan - quality items that have not worn out yet. When they do, they will not be replaced with animal products. To discard them to me seems an even bigger waste of life (unless you know of someone who can use them..just don't throw it away
