I made this last night and I'm having left overs today, but I'm not feeling the love. I find that it's pretty bland and I'm not sure what I might have done wrong. I used low sodium soy sauce would that be the difference instead of using "shoyu" which I can't find anywhere?

I made the casserole for the first time this past Saturday. We LOVED it! I added mushrooms, but otherwise made it exactly as Alicia recommends. Served it with a side of collards.

We have been eating the leftovers since Saturday, and agree that it is even better as leftovers :-)

Hi Michele,

Have you seen Bragg or tamari at your store? There both used like soy sauce. You may know this already but tamari can be used instead of shoyu. Maybe you can try that recipe again but use one of these other two? :-)

I lost my copy of the recipe - well the second page of the recipe anyway. Does anyone know where I can find it? I lent out my copy of the book.
