I've enjoyed reading through the different forums and thought I'd pop a quick intro. My name is Sherry and I've been a strict vegetarian for the past nine years and cannot imagine going back to a "meat" diet. I honestly didn't eat much meat growing up and haven't really missed it. I decided to cut meat out of my diet for two reasons. The first, being the fact that I could stand the thoughts of what happened to the innocent animal on the plate. Second reason, I had read that it may reduce my chronic migraines. I had battled the migraines for twenty years and had travelled near and far to specialists, with no luck. Once I cut meat from my diet, the migraines have decreased drastically. I went from seven or eight massive migraines a month to maybe four or five a year. Good luck to everyone that is new to the transition. I'm excited about the recipes on the forum. The book has been great motivation for me. I know with a bit of help, I can kick a few of my bad habits-- coffee (oh how I enjoy that first morning cup) and sugar. :)
