Alicia,What can I substitute for the Maple Sugar in your Peanut Butter Cup recipe? Would Brown Rice Syrup work? If so, how much?

I was able to find it at my local Whole Foods, it was difficult to locate. On the very bottom shelf under all the Maple Syrups.
I can't find maple Sugar....need a good substitute to bake with.

I haven't found Maple Sugar in my town either. I had posted regarding it in a previous message. More than one comment said that the Maple Sugar can be ordered online. I have yet to order it but found more than one site that carries it.

I have seen the maple sugar at Whole Foods. It was by the maple syrup & honey. But it's not in a bag like other sugar would be in. It was in a clear plastic round container. It looked about the size of those parmesan cheese containers with the green lids. It was maybe two cups for $9.99.

Wow! Am I ever glad to know where they keep the maple sugar at Whole Foods. I looked everywhere! I'll have to go back and get some. I've been using vegan cane sugar in the recipes up until now and it has been working well. I'm sure that it isn't the healthiest substitution, but it seems to work out okay in term of taste. Thanks to everyone on the tips for locating the maple sugar!
