Microwaves and Late Night Eating

I have two questions:

At work my only option for heating up food is a microwave - do I eat my food cold or just use the microwave?

Also - I don't get home until 8pm at night, but the time I eat it is almost 9. I go to bed between 11 and 12 and I wake up at 6:30. Will I still loose weight if I eat that late? Is there anything special I should be eatining that late?

I usually eat a snack at about 4pm a couple of hours before yoga then I don't eat again until 9 or so.

Hi Kathryn,
Invest in a stainless steel thermos - you can take heated food from home and in a thermos, food will stay heated at least 4 hours. So you won't have to reheat it in the microwave.
Also, before you place hot food in a thermos, first fill the thermos with boiling water, cap it tightly and leave it for 10 -15 or so minutes. Then after 15 mins, empty the thermos and place your hot food immediately and place the lid back on.
Check out stainless steel thermos for food storage: www.thermos.com. Then buy it at amazon.com
For having a late dinner - maybe buy a bigger size thermos/stainless steel food jar so you can have leftovers from lunch at dinner also. Or if you don't like to have the same food for lunch and dinner then buy two separate food jars: one for lunch and another for dinner. Or get a two or three-tiered stainless steel tiffin from www.happytiffin.com This website also provides insulation bags that you can use to keep food hot but the tiffins even though are of stainless steel are not like a thermos.
There are many options.....see what works best for you.
Hope this helps,Nariman

Kathryn I feel your pain!! I eat breakfast and lunch at work and don't get home till late which means a late dinner...I was wondering how in the world am I going to maintain the superhero diet with a long commute and long work hours! Vegan is easy to do, kicking the sugar and starch, harder, eating superhero without a microwave almost impossible! but suggestions are appreciated! the thermos sounds like a great idea for breakfast!

I have same issue. I am thinking about making brown rice salads for lunch and maybe a thermos filled with homemade miso soup.
