Hi, I'm Angelisa and I'm new! I just got Alicia's new book and I've only had a few minutes here and there to read her book--but I'm already inspired! I had been a vegetarian since I was 14, maybe 15 but then a few years back (when I was 37) I started losing tons of hair, I was anemic and so I started trying to eat meat again. I also have a milk allergy but I still eat cheese, yogurt-and that's so dumb! I have always loved Silk soymilk and I have that everyday--I've used the cheese as a "stressed out" food to eat and I've gained 18 lbs. in the last 6 months from crappy milk/meat based foods on top of my added stress--now I'm unhappy and I weigh much, much more than I did--it's icky! Nebraska only has one huge whole foods type of Market, that I know of, and it's in another town. I just bought my first tub of Earth Balance Butter (whipped original), and soy yogurt at a hy-vee a few blocks from my house--I'm so excited! I am hoping to finish your book during Thanksgiving break (no homework due then) and be on my way to a new lifestyle-Thanks!
