Alicia, I LOVE your book & can't wait to start eating better. However, I suffer from Irritable Bowel. Grains, breads, noodles, rice, corn and potatoes really kill my stomach. The most I can have of these food is maybe a tablespoon size serving, at only one meal a day, without suffering. With this in mind are there any suggestions/guidelines you would recommend when starting out flirting for me?

Hey shorlife,
Have you ever tried the IBS Audio Program 100? I used to suffer terribly from IBS and I did the program about two and a half years ago and have been symptom free since then. I ran across it on the internet after trying countless medicines and eating techniques and it's the only thing that has worked and now I can eat however I want without symptoms. I just borrowed the audio cd's to my co-worker and she is already feeling much better after only a week. I would suggest giving it a try. Good luck!

Hi shorelife :).......I have suffered with IBS for over 20 years and then after my gallbladder removal surgery this past summer it went into over drive....my family doctor recommended this massive dose of probiotics called VSL 3 (www.vsl3.com in the US and www.vsl3.ca in canada)....... it had gotten so bad I didn't know what to do...so I bought one box to try (wasn't expecting it to help because it had never been so bad) but I was so desperate that I would have tried anything.....well within a week I noticed a difference and by the end of the month it was like a whole new life to me.....I take one packet a day in about an ounce of juice and it has changed my life..... I am also lactose intolerant and that has almost totally disappeared....it has been amazing.......I also eat grains, corn etc....pretty much anything except anything greasy.......have you been checked for celiac disease??? anyways thought that might be an option for you to try. Good luck :)
