Hi everyone,

just one question, maybe stupid, but is it okay when I buy canned beans or shall I buy dried ones? Canned are ready to eat whenever I want, the dried ones have to be soaked in water for one night....any idea? Thanx!

Dried are better for you and less gas producing!

Also for canned goods, there is fluoride lining the inside of the can - acts as a preservative. And use of fluoride is controversial - it may make our bones porous over time. So stay away from canned goods as much as you can.

It's helpful to cook the dried beans and then freeze them, so they're always on hand when you need them!

Dried beans are much better--healthier, less gasey, and also you avoid getting BPA as that is used to line the cans as well. I have moved away from canned beans and other canned items for the most part, and if I buy canned it is organic.

Hi there! Thanks for this - and hey Amy girl, ya know what, if you're right and the beans are soggy after being frozen, you can always make a "hummos" or dip or base for a soup or stew or something, no? That'd be ok, I'd think! :)

Ok, you may think I'm crazy, but think all those dried beans and grains are kinda purty in their jars and all! Well...before they become yummy in our Kind dishes...
