A search function

I might not see one, but it doesn't look like there is a search function for a user to search the forum. I think it would be really helpful to have a search function where a user could type in a word and search all posts that use that word. I have questions on certain aspects of being vegan and I don't want to have to search through all the posts just to find one item that may or may not be there.

Welcome to The Kind Life Andi. A search function would be nice cause it can take while to look through everything, even if you're in the right section (i.e. Vegan Support). Don't know how difficult it would be to implement though.
There is a (very well-hidden) search function available on the main page http://www.thekindlife.com on the right hand side near the bottom. It really does search all of the forums as well.

Sierra, I checked and found the search function. I thought there had to be one! Now that I've found it, I believe it should be located at the top the page so it's easier to find and should also be located in the "forum" area.
I agree, Andi511!! It's far too hard to find. The capability obviously exists, so make it easier to find.
Aha! I was using the Google search function (site:thekindlife.com) but it wasn't finding everything. Let me try to find this search area (which should be top right and on every page, we get used to these conventions of sites).

Wow I feel so silly for not noticing the search box until you pointed that out! lol I just entered this forum to post that I feel there should be a search box for the forums. I also just noticed some icons on the bottom of my window indicating the number of alerts I have and the number of items in my inbox! Since there's so much I'm not seeing right away, and I consider myself pretty internet savvy, I think a tutorial or how-to-navigate-this-page guide would be nice! I'm just sayin'.

Add me to the list who wants the Search function more accessible. I didn't see it until I manually searched for this thread, and still had to look twice. :( It works great, but its hard to find...ironically. haha!
Most of the forums I've been on and participated in have a search function on the forum header. Cuts down on duplicate posts and multiple discussions on same/similar topics.
Thanks for all the work that goes into making this such a great site and community.
