I just got started on Alicia's book. I have been looking into different diets; all organic based, some with meat, some without. I was a vegetarian for several years until about 12 years ago. I got way too thin. I was running my own business and not really eating properly. I started eating poultry and fish. I still try to eat healthy. I have just started avoiding sugar and white flour, but I know that I can do better. My husband loves red meat but does not eat it much because I don't. If I go completely vegetarian again it will not be easy. And I lose my cook! He does most of the cooking. I guess I have some choices to make. Looking forward to learning all I can from this site.
Nice to meet you - and how exciting that you'll be making healhier choices! I am making massive changes, too - and I wonder if I will get all the nourishment I will need from a plant based diet. My husband actually was the first person to jump ship, and I teased him a lot. Then I saw his energy increase, his mood become more bubbly, his skin lose the dustiness, and his body - looking good! :)

I am hoping that I will get so healthy and full of energy that my husband wants to join me. He had a serious heart attack a couple of years ago and I would love to see him go vegan. I have been teased for not eating red meat, so that is nothing new. Good luck to you!
