What saved me

Hi. I have been suffering from hives for the past twelve years. I had gone to every kind of doctor trying to find out what was wrong with me. I would get hives so bad that I couldn't function. I even spent a weekend in the hospital. I finally found a doctor that did a specialized blood test, called ELISA. It indicated that I had food sensitivities. I quit eating a lot of food. Basically for two years, all I ate was chicken, rice, and some veggies. I was also taking Prednisone daily. What saved me was an acupuncturist. Her name is Debra Gaffney (Rusty) and she is wonderful. I started acupuncture 8 weeks ago. I have not had hives in 8 weeks and I have not had Prednisone for 7 weeks. Two weeks ago I became vegan. I am happier and feel better than I have in years. This Thanksgiving I have a lot to be thankful for.
What a great story Lisa! As a yoga teacher I believe strongly in many Eastern health practices...accupuncture helps soooooo many of my clients with very wide ranges of issues, I've seen so many people come off medications just by creating more awareness in their bodies and changing their diets. Kudos to you for taking charge of your health and congrats on your progress!
that is a very nice story, I use a vegan diet to treat my patients with similar stories of success, I think The Kind Diet is an excellent basis with which to build a personal plan, and have been recommending it.
