This book is without a doubt the best backyard gardening book.
Its essentially going to tell you how to build raised gardening beds, what kind of soil to put in it, how to plant it, water it, maintain it.

Helps you stagger the planting and harvesting of vegetables so you don't end up with too many zucchinis (etc.) at one time.
It a system of gardening so that you don't have to weed or fertilize ever! Just add compost when replanting... plus a little crop rotation know-how and you are good to go.
I mean, I could go on and on about how MANAGEABLE this gardening resource is! Love it!

The title is "All new square foot gardenning" by Mel Bartholomew. It can be found in our local library so you might want to check that source out first where you live and then buy it if you want to do it. He has really great pictures and examples to help you in this new updated book. The first book was good but it was lacking pictures and sketches were the best that you got. I like this new book much better and he has changed some of his original plan to better suit how we live now. He has lots of advice on how to succeed without a big lay out of cash too.
