I'm new here, too. I just found the site, and have ordered the book, but I'm ready to dive in. I'm not going to get much support, however, so I'm VERY grateful for the forum. I'm surrounded by hunters and they won't get it. Just half an hour ago, a coworker was showing off pictures of her 12-year-old daughter's first buck....
I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE! October and November are HORRID here for me. Driving down the road behind a pickup with a trophy in the back, legs akimbo and sticking out.

I can't change the culture in this area, and I'm not moving, but at least I can stop eating animals. It is what I have to do for my sanity. I finally figured out I can't stay a hypocrite.

I can't wait until the book gets here. I'm phasing out with what's in the fridge, and I'll only buy what I have to for my husband, who isn't interested at this time (maybe if he sees how healthy it is; he's pretty athletic and mostly worried about getting enough protein). By then the book should be here.
