Same here Nicole...I am currently unemployed and will be returning to school in the spring. I am also interested in the "green job" field and am curious as to what is out there.

Hi guys-I have done just that. I am a wedding planner in NY, but I focus on green events. We do everything GREEN and (many times) VEG. I've found that advertising on regular websites are not getting me the green customers I am looking for. Do you guys have any idea of where I should advertise? I think, if I had the correct place, I'd get the idea out more!
My website is www.NewYorkGreenEvents.com
Thanks!

Green weddings are so popular too. Hhhhmmm I will have to think about this more. Have you made business cards or brochures to hand out. You could attend those Bridal Expos that they advertise on the radio and maybe eve find out how you can set up a display table so as people go around looking for event planners they want they can see some of the things you have already done. I'll have to think a little more about this and get back to you

Olivia, what is the cost comparison between conventional weddings and GREEN ones? As everyone knows, green sadly is not cheap. That needs to change. Greeness cannot be just a high class trend. The high class %age is toooo (low to have a worldly affect) and common folk may not even dare to ask the cost of a green wedding. Need to be more creative to be competative! If your being affordable perhaps even less exspensive preceded you your idea would grow like a weed!
Anyway, I would like some opinion(s) on a project I'm working on. Right now it is in the prelimanary stages of proposal to obtain fed funds. The plan is a non-profit public service that would give employment to a wide range of skilled, unskilled and educated citizens. An idea I developed here in Sweden. Sweden is the long standing environmental heartbeat of the EU. So, I could not help but to notice why or how. This plan is quite simple, basically taking a more comprehensive approach to recycling. From street beat counselers to collection teams. Reclaimation managment, administrative overseeing and product sales. With 3 goals, to clean up America, give the Wizard overdue respect and love and make the plan financially perpetual.

Any ideas, opinions, or interest would be greatly appreciated!!

I found this website listing in Mother Earth News for those interested in green carreers. www.GreatGreenCareers.com it says in the ad that you can post your resume and set up a free job seeker account. You can also go to www.MotherEarthNews.com and at the bottom of the home page is a Green Careers section that you can just click on. Hope this helps!
