Check out Alicia's NEW interview about her favorite skin care products, The Kind Diet and her Ecotools lines on My Skin Affair. http://www.myskinaffair.com
those products are really expensive. I want to find inexpensive vegan/cruelty free products. Any suggestions?
Some inexpensive vegan products are 100 percent pure. you can go to the website or qvc. most of the products are inexpensive and they use organic and dont test on animals. One tip though dont use a lot of products on your skin. I only use moisturizer and that's it. i wash my face with water and just put moisturizer on. Im from europe and that's what i been doing. putting to many chemicals on your skin is bad. also diet improves your skin a lot....water, fruits, vegetables, no sugar, no alcohol, no coffee, no soda...
puregirl,
thanks! so just water, and no face soap to wash? Does it wash the make up off?
hmm, this is one area where I find that my veganism might take some time to transition. I am faithful to a group of products that work for me, which took a couple years of trial and error. They are from different lines, but its what they do that works. AM- splash of water, the lightest moisturizer/sunscreen combo I've ever come across from a company called Cosmedicine (like, I'm freakin' in love). PM- very gentle cleanser called Cetaphil, every other night I use a 10% Glycolic Acid Hydrating Serum from Peter Thomas and Roth (which is exfoliating), then a super light moisturizer Complex 15. I name them because I'm curious if anyone will know these products and be able to offer a good alternative. *** (Especially for my beloved sunscreen).
I coudn't find the interview. Is it on the myskincareaffair website?
try just myskinaffair.com not myskincareaffair.com
The cosmetics cop website has really good skincare products that aren't too expensive. She says she doesn't test on animals, but I wonder if the products she gets are tested on animals. Plus it's not organic etc....I just am trying to find a balance and not run out and spend all this money that I don't have at the moment. I found a good website: http://www.mymakeupmirror.com/MakeupWithoutCruelty.html will research further and try and find some inexpensive things!
Kaetlin,
I dont wear makeup at all. probably only once. i never wore foundation. that is the worst for your skin. Im 23 years old and i look like im 15. its crazy. but i like having good skin and my eyelashes are pretty long and dark so no need to wear mascara. im just more happy with no makeup. i only wear burts bees lip balm and that's it. on special occasions i do wear lipstick or lip gloss and some mascara but that's it. i want people to see the real me. a lot of girls these days put so much makeup on that when they take it off, u dont recognize them anymore....but if u do wear makeup u should get a good cleanser-100% pure product line, juice beauty, or eminence organics. all good brands...
I read the interview. it was great. Can't wait to try out the concealers she rec'd. Josie Maran is what i use for mascara, eyeshadow, and lips as well. I love her argan oil too. I'm wondering what Aveda anti frizz hairspray Alicia's talking about though. I need that in this FL humidity.
