Hi All
I won't say that Thanksgiving wasn't hard. Not from a missing of anything perspective - more from a lack of family support. My Mom just pretended that I haven't made this choice. Even the red cabbage(which I mistakenly thought was for me) was smothered in bacon.
On the upside, I continue my journey at home and I am LOVING it. I miss sugar the most, but am doing well. I'm not 100% yet, but at least in the 90's :-)
Every week, I pull out Alicia's book and another cookbook I got and search for recipes that I am interested in. Last week I made mushroom and sun-dried tomato risotto with ingredients from my local "Fresh and Natural" store. It was WONDERFUL!!!!!! I also made sweet potato fries to go with my hummus and fresh vegetable pitas.
So, I am having a great time learning and exploring as a flirt and I want to send a shout to everyone on this website for their support!
