So I've been eating animal product free for 8 days now. There have been a couple of slip ups, like the cake i ate at my aunts house and then thought, oh shoot, there were eggs in that, but overall i've been successful. I remember reading in the book that at first it can be tough while your body is detoxing... i'm just wondering what everyone went through? I don't exactly feel nauseous, but i don't feel right either. i have headaches (but this could be the stress from work). I won't go into details, but my digestive system is cranky with me. I feel really good about making this switch, but I'm really hoping that all of this uncomfortable business will be over soon!!! Any advice?

Like Alicia said..its totally your body trying to clean itself and run on a new fuel. Meat did't affect me as much as giving up the dairy did. I felt shaky and weak for a few days. Everyone is different though and i'm sure how much dairy and meat you were eating has something to do with it. Make sure you are not going heavy on the veggie junk foods like cookies and chips and stuff. Try to eat cleanly. If you are eating more whole grains already..the digestive thing may simply be the fact your body is shocked that it actually has a good amount of fiber now and doesn't know what to do with itself yet hehe. Don't worry..you will feel great if you plan out your meals and make sure you are getting the things you need.
