HI everyone. I just finished reading Alicia's book and am excited to try some new things. I am concerned about one thing though...water. I live in a home that is not my own and it has very hard water. My landlord uses a water softener, but it is my understanding that drinking softened water isn't that great for you. I know that bottled water creates a lot of waste and isn't necessarily cleaner than my tap. Because this isn't my house and I can't install a water filter what would be the next best option? Do I get a pitcher with a filter? What is a good filter for hard water?.......I don't know what my cleanest and best solution is...

I would love any suggestions...thank you :-)

Hi Holly
I have the same issue where I live, and so I keep a plastic Brita filter in the fridge and refill my stainless water bottle from it. This works great, but then there is the issue regarding plastic again. I try to stay away from plastic, but have yet to find another solution...would love to hear anyone elses ideas!!!

I don't know if it is the best, but I have hard water, and I use a Brita filter. There are some other options that you can install, but since it isn't your house, not an option. They are too expensive for me, but I feel that a Brita is much better than bottled.

I like the Britta filter pitcher and keep two so one is always filled.
