I've been abot 108 pounds i'm 5"4" and I've lost weight. Down to 106.5
I eat like crazy I even eat nut butter. I'm still trying to slowly get off dairy. Heres a daily meal plan for me.
Breakfast: cereal with soy milk, banana, 1 Tbsp nut butter
Snack: greek yogurt and a Lara bar
Lunch: Tofu wrap or large salad with beans, veggie cheese, 1 Tbsp nuts
Snack; banana with 1 Tbsp almond butter
Dinner: again large salad or steamed veggies, beans or tempeh or tofu, apple or pear, 1 Tbsp nuts or dressing
Snack: almond milk, 2 small vegan cookies or bowl of steel cut oatmeal
You should get your thyroid checked out.
Maybe try to add some more whole grains in you day, such as rice, pasta, or quinoa. Good Luck!
I'm no health expert, but it seems to me that losing less than 2 lbs is not a reason to be alarmed for a grown adult. If you work out at all, it's common for your weight to fluctuate slightly due to high levels of water intake and loss.
And I know it's considered "uncool" to count calories these days, but even so you might want to think about how many calories you're taking in compared to how much you should be taking in (try http://www.nutritiondata.com/tools/calories-burned). If you find that you're getting 500 calories fewer than you need per day, then yeah, you probably want to reevaluate your daily meal plan.
I'd say add some whole grains to your (salad) lunch and dinner...little fluctuations are pretty normal. I don't know about you but I have been finding that my appetite is much more controlled now that I'm eating so much in the way of vegetables, beans, grains. Also my cravings for sugary things have disappeared now that I've cut out all sugar--sometimes I even find an apple too sweet.
I'd definitely suggest adding more grain to your diet but as other said, a fluxuation of 2lbs isn't all that alarming (I usually fluxate within 2-3 lbs per week.). If you still feel like you're losing too much weight though, try upping the portion size a bit.
Clare I agree I barely get hungry between meals eating beans, grains and veggies. Its so satisfying. I love eating this way. I do think I need to up my grains a bit especially since I cut all dairy from my diet I'm sure that cut about 300 calories a day from my diet but I notice my tummy is flat and I have no gassiness which I used to have alot. I always did think I was lactose intolerant.
