Does anyone know the 'greenest' way to get rid of a dead appliance? in this case it is a fridge.

OK, so i went to http://www.greenlivingtips.com/ and there was a link for http://earth911.com/ which was so cool and easy. Just type your zip and what you wish to recycle and it provides a list of the closest places for drop off.
Now i just have to talk my hubby or one of his buddies into loading it up and hauling it for me.
