Okay, my three kids and husband all took turns puking and pooping last weekend and now it's my turn I guess. I was at work last night and just got totally queezy in the tummy. Puked a little bit but not much. By the time I got home from work I was so bloated that I looked 4 months pregnant. All night my stomach was churning but no puke, and no pooping. When I woke up this morning I had terrible "rotten egg" burps. Still no puking, the bloat has gone down some, and have had one "sickey poop" (as my kids like to call it). My stomach is still just churning and the burps are gross! I'm staying away from food. Any suggestions on what to drink to calm my tummy??

Well, I'm still sick. Got worse yesterday and through the night last night. Now I wake up and I have hives all over my body. This is terrible.

My tummy hasn't been happy lately either, but nothing like yours! Sorry! I hope you feel better soon!

Any chance you actually have food poisoning? I mean, most "bugs" that are more pukey/poopy are really food poisoning types of things. Even if you're eating veggies, it still happens, just not as often as for meatheads.

Try the BRAT diet - bananas, rice, apple sauce and toast. This gets a bit boring, but DO NOT try to go back to your regular eating habits too soon.

Also, if you are really bad, your doctor may need to give you hyoscyamine, to calm the GI tract down.

Also, try drinking vitamin water, to replace the electrolytes you've probably lost and to help rehydrate.

Thanks. I'm feeling a bit better finally. The hives have mostly gone. The last thing I ate before I got sick was Lentils, corn and Trader Joe's Chorizo. Could've been the chorizo I guess but since the rest of my family have been sick at different intervals all weekend I just figured I got whatever they had. I'm totally afraid to eat anything at this point but definitely will stick to the bland foods and not too much fiber right away.

Hope ur feeling better. i know how u feel. i've had the flu, no upset stomach other than from the drainage it gags me but I'm ready to be back to my perky, energetic self. Hot chamomile tea always helps me and I've been drinking green tea the past few days too. It usually helps me get over things quicker.
