So, I have been reading about colon cleanse, and I have been vegetarian for 5 months... Vegan for 7 days.. I am wanting to do a cleanse... to clean out my intestines as I get into the Vegan lifestyle...
I have never done one and I am kinda nervous! --Is it beneficial? is it freaky?

I've never done one and I'm sure you'll get a lot more helpful feedback, but I've heard that it can kill the helpful bacteria that's found in the colon as well. Maybe eating more of the "superhero" foods will naturally and slowly move things through....

I work at an ayurvedic health clinic and when people come and stay with us to do 3-21 day cleanses they usually do a basti each night, which is basically a self administered enema, but it's a mixture of nutritive oils that have been cooked with various herbs (depending on your needs), it's not stripping like other solutions. You could make you're own, might be a little interesting though. Or check out the four day short home cleanse on their website at www.lifespa.com (switch the ghee for a vegan fat/oil) to do a full body flush that isn't draining. Hopefully this wasn't crazy confusing, let me know if you have any questions!
