I want to make wedding soup, which had meatballs in it, for my girlfriend who eats meat but obviously I do not want to buy or touch meat myself. I was wondering if anyone has a good recipe for a vegetarian meatball I could use to make the soup? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys! :)

I've never made them but the frozen vegetarian meatballs are pretty good in my opinion.

Hi! I brought home TJ's meatless meatballs all excited to make sweet and sour meatballs like I've always loved as a kid - with the chili sauce and grape jam and all, you know? I must've not done something right because they just wouldn't hold together - LOL! Tasted ok for sure, but the texture just wasn't there - I'll bet you anything that their simmering in a soup would make all the positive difference in the world...or I need to just find a different' meatless meatball!

Hello! "Vegan Dad" offers two great meatball recipes. I made the Italian "meat"balls, and they were seriously delicious!

This man knows what he is doing! I would check out Vegan Dad for more great recipes as well :). Good luck with your soup. These are also great in spaghetti sauce.

I have a recipe from the urban vegan for making your own seitan, you can shape it into balls, nuggets or whatever. It actually seems really easy, all you need is wheat gluten and oil (I think) anyway, I would give that a try.

Yes Evie, thanks for sharing the vegandad site!
I'm still flirting with just going vegetarian but trying to work vegetarian and vegan stuff into my family's menu (while reducing meat and dairy) and this will help out a ton. I'm nearly salivating looking at some of the pics on his site. Yummy!
