Many college students are overwhelmed with the high prices of textbooks, not to mention the long lines and crowded bookstores where you they end up buying and selling them. Every year students lose more and more money, and more and more books are wasted because of poor care, (excessive: highlighting, writing, torn pages etc.) This causes books to be thrown away making "used" textbooks a pretty "ungreen" purchase. www.Chegg.com is working to battle this problem. Chegg.com is a textbook rental site where students can rent their textbooks for much cheaper prices than if they were to buy them! You order them from the website, they are shipped to you and when you are done you print a pre-paid UPS label and ship them right back! As a bonus Chegg plants a tree for every book bought, sold, traded, or donated. They have planted football fields worth of trees! This year I ordered 12 books from chegg and saved over $250 on bookstore prices. The only condition is that renters are not allowed to highlight/write in the books. This is all for obvious reasons. For me Chegg has turned out to be an amazing organization! Saving me tons of money, reducing new book printing, and planting trees along the way! Check it out spread the word to college students that you know! Its just about time to order new books and Chegg is clearly the environmentally friendly way to go!
