steamer question...

I am thinking of getting a steamer or maybe it's called a rice cooker. Are they good to own, do you use one alot?? Any recommendations on which one to buy or avoid??

I see some with timers and some with 3 baskets...seems kinda cool.

I love my rice cooker!! I use it at least 3 times a week. Mine has a steamer tray on top, so I can do rice and veggies at the same time. It's the Oster brand. We cook more than just rice in it. Quinoa, barley, etc. just make sure you use the right ration of water to grain. Good Luck!

Thanks Lana. Now I'm torn between buying a pressure cooker or rice cooker or both....gotta research some more I guess.
