Hi,
I live in the UK and i'm looking forward to Christmas. I'm not sure what the American tradition is but, here Turkey is the usual and for Vegetarians usually a Nutroast is most common for Christmas day lunch or dinner.
I just wondered what you fellow vegans have for Christmas lunch, I want it to feel special like Christmas dinner and fairly traditional. Do you know of any good 'nutroasts' store-bought or recipes (preferably store bought but not processedand i'm also Gluten Free). Or if you have any other ideas/recipes you make for a special christmas lunch.
I'd be so grateful for your help.
Many thanks
Helly

i just saw that in the book, it sounds lovely. i might make that - the fact that it has stuffing appeals a lot and makes it similar to the turkey dish if you know what i mean. Makes it feel christmassy! thanks for responding. :)

I made the tofu dome recipe from TKD for Thanksgiving and it was incredibly tasty! I'm also gluten free, so I just substituted GF bread for the stuffing and it worked out great! I also made the cranberry sauce recipe too and it was also yummy.

One tip I would give for those who try the tofu dome recipe - crumble the tofu very, very fine. Maybe even blend/process it to get it smooth. It will make a much tighter dome that way. Next time I make it I'm also going to add a few herbs to the tofu when I make the dome.
