I have only been eating the vegan way for about 9 days so far...but I am already a changed woman! I was never a big meat eater so I'm not so tempted by the meat, but I was a huge dairy lover. I have already started to notice that my allergies don't seem to bother me so much. I don't have the runny nose and the general phlegm-y feeling. I still do make meat & dairy recipes for my husband, but absolutely none for me! I decided to do this because I hope to start a family next year. I already saw my OB/GYN and casually mentioned that I didn't eat meat or dairy and he was VERY happy! Oh, and I also live in a rural area of Texas that is right next door to the Dairy Capitol of Texas. My favorite thing to eat so far is the simple stuff like frying up some cabbage and butternut squash in some flax seed oil or extra virgin olive oil. I've tried the first 4 or 5 recipes in Alicia's book and I haven't found anything yet that I don't absolutely love!
yay!!! so happy. try not to fry your flax oil...im pretty sure it doesnt like to get cooked...but adding it at end on hot stuff is fine...use sesame oil or olive oil....so happy you like the book and how you feel....yay texas!!!!
