OK, so I am going out tomorrow with my friends for Christmas Eve, and I am doing SO wonderfully and feel great the past weeks with my Vegan diet.... I would like to be able to get a drink- - What is Vegan... and not only Vegan BUT NOT so full of sugar???
What would you guys drink if you are going out- - -I am not going to overindulge but I wouldn't mind having one or two drinks- --?
Not a big fan of gluten either... :Shaha, thank you guys, and HAPPY HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
tequilla...feels best on me.
good wine tastes best to me. pinot yum. red
organic beer.
champagne but i dont like champagne..but if you do?
have fun
Thanks Alicia! I am glad you responded!! :DWhat do you mix with the tequila? I was always such a big fan of margaritas, but all that sugar and salt make me bloat up!
Are all red wine Vegan? I suppose I could ask.. :D thanks!
I like to make a fresh margarita with my tequila. Order Patrol Silver(or any clear tequila of your preference) with 3 limes, 1 lemon and 1 orange wedge. Ask the bartender the squeeze the fruit and shake it up for you in a shaker...tastes waayyyy better that way :)...yumm..if its still too strong for you have them cut it with seltzer. I also do this with watermelons in the summer...yummmmmyyy. Have fun!
Ohhh and I'd also like to share the book Skinny Bitch. If you haven't read it already, it is a must read! Hysterical, good read about veganism. And they also recommend vegan organic wine in there.
if you don't mind honey go for a hot toddy! so festive! ;)
or hard cider, if you'd like something cold and sweet...
just like not all wines are vegan, not all beers are either. then again, neither are car/bike tires, most refined sugars, or wool or silk products...
A wine spritzer is a good idea, low on sugar because half the drink is perrier or some equivilant sparkling water and half white wine. Also, I either put some frozen cranberries or blueberries in to keep it chilled while I sip then I get a little treat at the end! Happy holidays!
Thank you all so much!! Have a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year!!
straight tequilla....though i like the limes and orange idea from merissa....
but i just go straight tequilla. no fuss...but i of course very rarely do this...but every once in a while its nice.
