......why my profile pic doesnt appear in the little thumnail window like it does with everyone else ;/

I think when you set your profile it gives you the option to show your picture or "wear a mask". try checking the privacy settings :)
when you first sign up it asks you if you want an Avatar, you say YES and can select whatever picture from your computer you want, then it lets you crop the picture and plops it onto your profile.
I believe you can go into your profile section after you've signed up and select your Avatar/Picture anytime.
