I was wondering if anyone knows of vegetables or herbs that will help with infertility and/or PCOS. I've heard about ginseng and green tea but there must be other things out there that can help. I would love someone to get in touch if they know of any natural things that could help. I've recently heard about black cohosh but have no idea what it is or if it works.
I was diagnosed with PCOS just last week. Needless to say I've been researching like crazy. I found a great site, full of all kinds of info. www.soulcysters.net. Some women talk about using meds, others are going for more natural remedies. Good luck!
Hi Karen and Lana,
I would have my patients with PCOS go superhero and stay there. There is no other intervention for this disorder nearly as powerful as dietary therapy. I am an acupuncturist and commonly treat the symptoms associated with this condition. Herbs, acupuncture, exercise, meditation are all great but the key here is diet. This is why we are facing an epidemic of this disorder, our American diet is out of balance with the way many womens' bodies metabolize.
For a sub-segment of any population, less is more. Eating whole plant foods in moderation like a traditional diet would contain, will quickly and dramatically change the system.

How did you get on in the end Karen? Im battling infertility too - its hard. x I also have PCOS.
I have PCOS too, and since going superhero (or at least 90%) I do feel much better, but I didn't seem to ovulate yet (CD 27) and my last cycle was 32 days.. We're not trying to conceive yet, but it still bothers me a lot, on the other hand maybe I just worry too much and my grandmother died recently and I have an extra lot to do for Uni, so I thinks, it's probably just a little too much stress for me.. I don't know really.. I read about many women taking vitex for cycleregulation, so I'm thinking about giving it a try.. Any thoughts on that?
@Kellstar: I think I read in a different thread, that you are actively trying for a baby! I wish you lots of luck in that matter, and I'd be happy if you'd let me know what worked for you. I could really use a great successstory ;)
