Ok, everyone, I need your thoughts! I am considering running for an open seat on the Board of Directors of my local Natural Foods Co-op Market. I have been a member for over a year, and now that I am vegan, I am thinking this could be a great way for me to get involved and to learn more, as well as offer my thoughts on ideas for the store. I think I could offer a great outlook on bringing in and helping newbies.

Am I crazy for even considering this? Do you think anyone would even vote for a newby?

I think it's a great idea provided you're up to the responsibilities it entails.Sometimes a fresh face, and new ideas are just what the doctor ordered. And if you're note elected you might still be able to get involved by volunteering. I'm considering volunteering at my co-op as well...not only to get involved and learn more, but at my place if you volunteer just one day a month even, you get a discount on purchases...a win/win to me.
