I'm a new superhero - I've been vegan, and decided to do myself a favor and move to the next level this year. My question is this: I rely heavily on snacks - I'm a teacher, I don't get home until quite late, and so I need to snack a lot during the day. Before I would eat processed foods (e.g. lara bars or vegan cookies), fruit (usually totally out of season), or nuts for snacks. What are some superhero snack ideas to tide me over between 2:30 and 7:00? (I've been snacking on brown rice while I'm at home, but I need some more options.)
Nuts, peanut butter with celery, raisins- I also make something I call "horsefeed," which is rolled oats, any nuts or seeds that tickle my fancy, and some dried fruit and throw it in a baggie. It's great in a pinch.
