I started Superhero the 1st of December and about 4 weeks in began working out 3-5 days per week. I felt suggish and didn't feel like I was getting the nutrients I needed so .. based on Alicia's mention of Thrive by Brendan Brazier, I bought and read his book. As a result I've incorporated his vegan/raw smoothies and energy bars. It's helped tremendously. He also used sea vegetables, which helps me say focused.

forgot to mention -- I'm not bored as much as tired of the amount of time that's necessary to make the recipes. If I can take the time daily to prepare recipes I do well, but when I get lazy and just do greens and grains, it does get boring. I've bought several books - Kushi's Macrobiotic and Hip Chicks Guide but haven't had time to read them yet. Too busy cutting up veggies! But I'm hoping to find some recipes to mix it up a bit. I am losing weight, the workouts are really making a difference. The weight loss is slow but I don't mind, because I feel amazing and at 51 years old and for the first time in my life - AWESOME!
