Leaving Tuesday for the first time as a family. A little paranoid about what we are going to eat... Would love suggestions!
i just got back today! went to orlando for the lsu bowl game (we lost boo) and did universal and disney. had no problem eating and i am vegan. at MGM i went to 50s prime time cafe and they have a grain and veggie ratitoulle stuffed pepper that rocked. at bongo's in downtown disney (owned by gloria estafan) they have a whole veggie menu. at universal studios i was able to get steamed veggies with white rice and egg free eggrolls (the girls read all packages for me) and teriaky sauce. they also had a garden burger in universal and disney. not the best ( i dont like mock meats) but had plenty of tomatos pickles lettuce spicy mustard etc to doctor it up. also i wanted to eat at this raw restaurant in orlando called cafe 118 but we didnt really eat off property much. dont know where all u are going but bongos in downtown disney and 50s prime time cafe all worked out well. hope this helps
thank you! that did help!
cafe 118 in winter park is like 20 min from disneyworld but so worth it if you want some delish vegan food while you're down there! i went to disney for a day over xmas break and was really disappointed by the lack of options. there is a fruit stand in liberty square where i was able to find lunch options and i brought some larabars and nuts with me to snack on.
we survived! I wish I had read your recommendation about cafe 118 before I left! Next time :) I would really love to run the disney marathon next year. I saw people have all ages running and it really motivated me to get off my butt and get in shape.
