Hi I'm Farty McFarty!

Been doing the superhero for about a week now and feel great but can't stop farting!!! I've always taken pride in the fact that I could control my farts and they would easily go unnoticed, but these superhero farts fly out of me unexpectedly! I even farted during sex! So not sexy. Will this go away over time, or am I destined to a life of fartitude?
Love the book, Alicia. Thanks!
Jodi
I am not Alicia - but I can toootally offer you my sympathy, and share with you that my husband has been going through the same thing since I switched us to Superhero. Doesn't affect me quite as badly - but he has been OUT of control. WOW. Something that has really, really helped him (and, therefore, ME) is that he has increased his intake of fermented foods (sauerkraut, pickles, miso, etc). He'll have a pickle as a snack, and then a little sauerkraut as a side dish with whatever we're eating and - ta da - a lot less gaseousness. The fermented foods help with your digestion. There are all sorts of other tips, too, of course, (soak your beans, cook them with kombu, chew your food well, etc) but hopefully, after a period of adjustment, you'll level out. Fartitude is not your destiny! Good luck!
I have the same problem, I've been eating superhero for a few days and I feel really good, but I keep farting all the time! It's really foul too, I offend myself sometimes, lol! Is there anything that can help with this?
Good to know I'm not alone - thank goodness we're not all in the room at the same time! I've been doing Superhero about 6 weeks and still experiencing that problem. And you're right - you can't hold em!
A pregnant friend of mine also told me that pickles were recommended for fighting gas naturally. Her doctor told her to eat pickles to help with gas during her pregnancy. Thanks for the tip, Veganwife! :)
I sooo have the same problem. My poor husband. i can't hold it either. I've started taking digestive enzymes as the lady at Whole Foods told me this helps. We'll see, no relief yet and I've been doing it for 2 weeks with no difference.
