Hi, I'm Crystal and I live in Central Florida. I've been vegan for awhile now, but I know I've been eating WAY too much processed food, which is now I was so grateful to read The Kind Diet. I was looking into raw food and it was getting so hard to get into it and since I've been reading about macrobiotics, I believe it may give me the energy I have been seeking!
Anyway, most macrobiotic books seem to cater to those in temperate climate (which is most of the USA) but since I live in semi-tropical, I'm looking for others input on how to apply the macrobiotic theories/recipes here.
I practically grew up in an orange grove. Fruit is part of the landscape here. So my guess is that I can add more tropical fruit in my diet than someone living in Michigan?
Are there any other Floridians out there that can give me advice or are thinking the same thing?
