Rustic Rootz came to life one day after working hard at both the wineries and the LCBO in Niagara where Paula Urquhart worked and lived. After leaving that behind.. moving to Bruce County finding her dream home...and always knowing that she would someday be an Entrepreneur, it came to life... Rustic Rootz started making Garden Twig Furniture out of Swamp Willow and Cedar, and making organic chemical free soap in winter months... All friends and family tried these wonderful creations and encouraged ME to follow my dream.... FULL TIME!!
Always wanting something better than commercial products I started to create organic soap and body care products. All of the products are ECO-FRIENDLY and even the packaging is HOME-COMPOSTIBLE. SOLID SHAMPOO BARS are a NEW way of daily living as they CAN be used in Lakes and Creeks... they do not harm fish or the environment. Also no plastic packaging to dispose of!! Throw one in a bag or reuseable container when travelling, won't leak in the luggage or a duffle bag when going to the gym!!
Starting in small batches, ensuring nothing is stripped of nutrients... all of the products are of HIGHEST quality. Only the finest of ingredients are used in both the soap and body care products! Each batch is hand-blended, hand cut and hand wrapped this giving each bar a unique feature! NO DYES, or PRESERVATIVES in the products!! Any colour in the soap/product is derived by botanicals or herbs...

We are proud to LIST everything that is in our SOAP & Body Care Products!! We use the finest quality vegetable oils, genuine organic essential oils & raw materials!! We now offer NUT-FREE oils, we do however use coconut oil (tree nut) Everything is Vegan other than the Baby's Beeswax bar. We do not use lanolin, aloe vera as there are a lot of allergies with these ingredients!! ALSO WE create in SMALL batches to preserve the NATURAL GLYCERIN & to maintain STRICT quality control. We cure our SOAP for at least ONE month to ensure a HARDER, LONGER LASTING bar. WE use a LARGE percentage of CASTOR OIL in our SOAP which makes them a SUPERIOR, MULTI-PURPOSE soap, good for washing, hair, skin & scalp. They are WONDERFUL used as a SHAMPOO bar (there have been some formulated specifically just for that with the proper pH balance) They last & last... If the bar is well drained, a bar can last you months... the great thing about our SOAP is that you can USE EVERY part of our bars, as they WILL NOT CRACK or SPLINTER at the end like the COMMERCIALLY, MASS-PRODUCED DETERGENT BARS!!! PLEASE NOTE that Rustic Rootz RE USES, and RECYCLES, uses recycled paper for labels & non toxic glue for gluing them. We are soon going to have HOME compostible packaging!! The Tub Teas are already home compostible!! ENJOY!
