Just wanted to share...I've been vegan for two months now and I'm feeling great, looking great, and am incredibly proud of myself! Making this kind of change can be challenging enough, but doing so right before the holidays can make it even more so. In addition to having to get through the holidays, I'm the only vegan (and even the only health-conscious person) on both sides of my family and I knew my decision would not be well-received. I'm a pleaser, so for many years I've had a tendency to go along with everyone else in order to not make any waves or get singled out and picked on. Not only did I make this decision, stick to it, and LOSE weight instead of gain during the holidays, I finally stood up for what I believed was right. All of this has done wonders for my confidence and overall health -- it's been an amazing two months! I've lost 20 pounds in the past year and SEVEN of them have come off just in the past two months. I'm so grateful for The Kind Diet and this site for their part in my transformation. Together we're making a huge difference!!!

Good for you YogaMama...I am the only one in my family who is not overweight and suffering from multiple chronic diseases. I also am a people pleaser. I know what you are going through. It feels good to treat our bodies well and not apologize for it. Congrats!

I also am the only one in my family that is super health conscious. It is not really that hard though, I find great joy and fulfillment in standing up for what I feel is right. After all, your body is yours not anyone else's; it is your energy, your mind, body, spirit etc.. that is affected when you are not kind to it. So, sorry everyone else but I am going to be kind to my body no matter what.
Keep up the good work girls!
