Soggy Crispy Peanut Butter Treats :(

Ditto to that Siera. I used that brand, too, and mine came out great. I actually just made them for my Vday party for the students tomorrow...

I used less syrup and more PB. I also placed the mixtrue in a 9x13 pan while hot. Rather that mixing the choc. chips in after the mixture cooled, I sprinkled them all over the top, spread them with a spatula. They made a nice layer of melted chocolate on top. Once they cooled, the chocolate on top really held them together. I cut them into over 2 weeks worth of squares and put them in a large zip lock bag. Had to keep them in my room so the boys wouldn't eat them all. smiley-laughing.gif

I'm going on a trip for V-day weekend, will be making these tonight (my 2nd time) as my go to snack/dessert while exploring the city. I'm planning to use less syrup and almond butter (trying to make it as superhero dish as possible). I hope the treat stays intact in my luggage.

the first time i made them i used rice puffs too...totally not the same thing!! now i use brown rice crispie and they're WAY better.
